Contemplations: Children

  • We normally think we come as children so we can grow up and be or do something important. But we got it backwards; we grow up so that we can work out feelings we experienced when we were a child (or in our past lives for that matter).
  • Life is a compromise.
  • The purpose of parenting is to practice unconditional love.
  • Some time your newborn will look deeply into your eyes, and you know it has nothing to do with a parent-child relationship; it really feels like it’s a soul looking directly into another soul, known one another for a million years… It’s been said that “the eyes are the gateway to the soul.”
